Inspection of photovoltaic plants
At DXIngeniería we work in the semi-automated inspection of photovoltaic installations, regardless of their dimensions, using drones equipped with thermal and visual cameras.
The image processing software allows us to detect points of failure in the different elements. Thanks to our analysis, customers can know failure points at the cell, sub-module (diodes), module, strings, junction boxes, transformer stations, etc…
With our analysis, customers can know failure points at cell, sub-module (diodes), module, strings, junction boxes, transformer stations, etc…
A bird’s eye view, we detect the error and its nature and provide information on the location of each problem for targeted, fast and efficient action by maintenance technicians.
The most advanced technology
We use the most advanced models of drones and thermal cameras, allowing early detection of defects and with ample guarantees of safety and efficiency.
Thermal imaging allows us to detect malfunctions and RGB (visible spectrum) imaging helps us to characterise the source of the problem and the drop in module performance.
Thermal images allow to detect malfunctioning issues while RGB images (visible spectre) allow to characterize the issue nature and its effect on reduced module output.
Different inspection levels and scenarios
Different situations require different inspections. From the most demanding, following the IEC standard, to routine maintenance inspections.
At DXIngeniería we inspect all types of photovoltaic plants:
- Fixed orientation modules
- Modules with one or more axes
- Mono or polycrystalline
- On roofs, on the ground, or on floats
Each type of inspection must be carried out following specific techniques and guidelines. In some cases, we perform the inspection using radiometric video, and in other cases, photography at intervals.
The data is subsequently analyzed manually or through automated systems and delivered to the client with a comprehensive report of detected incidents and their location.
